Lin-chin Tsai is currently Assistant Professor in the Graduate Institute of Taiwan Literature and Transnational Cultural Studies at National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Asian Languages and Cultures at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA, with a focus on Taiwan as a settler colony and its cultural productions. His research interests include Contemporary Sinophone Literature, Chinese-language films, and Modern Poetics. His articles on Taiwan literature and cinema have been published in academic journals in English and Mandarin, as well as edited volumes, including Keywords of Taiwan Theory (Linking Publishing, 2019), and Cinematic Settlers: The Settler Colonial World in Film (Routledge, 2020). He also coauthored a volume with scholars specializing in Taiwan literature, 100 Years of Taiwan Literature (Linking Publishing, 2018), and coedited Indigenous Knowledge in Taiwan and Beyond with Shu-mei Shih.
