BLEED exhibiting artist Tom Blake discusses the process of making leaves in the stream during his eight-week residency at Treasure Hill Artist Village in Taipei. Taking place as part of PICA’s International Studio Exchange Program, this work was inspired by repetition and fragmentation, and contextualises the artist’s observations of the ways people engage with digital technology through repetitive scrolling and momentary pauses.
- Tom Blake’s residency at Treasure Hill Artist Village was made possible with the support of the PICA Art Ambassadors, the Department of Local Government, Sport & Cultural Industries through a Sector Development Grant, and Treasure Hill Artist Village.
BLEED (Biennial Live Event in the Everyday Digital) was conceived by Campbelltown City Council through Campbelltown Arts Centre, and The City of Melbourne through Arts House. BLEED 2024 is produced and presented by Campbelltown Arts Centre, Arts House, and Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts in partnership with Treasure Hill Artist Village.
